El próximo jueves 12 de septiembre, se realizará el Seminario "La materia del habitar", organizado por Antropología UC, Universidad de Aberdeen y British Academy.
Este seminario indaga comparativamente por la tensión categorial entre aquello sólido y fluido en el pensamiento occidental, a través de la práctica de expertos involucrados en el diseño y estudio de materiales que conforman el pasado y el futuro del habitar humano, tales como arqueólogos y arquitectos respectivamente. El seminario es parte del proyecto titulado “Solid fluids in the Anthropocene” –Solidos fluidos en el Antropoceno – dirigido por Tim Ingold (University of Aberdeen) y Cristián Simonetti (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) y financiado por la British Academy for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (para más información, aquí).

Next Thursday September 12th will be held the Workshop "The Matter of Design", organized by the Department of Anthropology UC, University of Aberdeen and British Academy.
The workshop aims to open a comparative inquiry into the solid-fluid tension, through the practices of experts engaged in the study and design of materials that conform the past and future of human habitation, such as archaeologists and architects respectively. The workshop is part of a project entitled Solid fluids in the Anthropocene, lead by Tim Ingold (University of Aberdeen) and Cris Simonetti (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) and funded by the British Academy for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (for more info, here).
