El Programa de Antropologia UC se ha incorporado a la red internacional HAU Network of Ethnographic Theory (http://haujournal.org/). HAU-Net es una red de departamentos de antropología y centros de investigación que forman la revista académica HAU, además de las colecciones de libros Classics in Ethnographic Theory y Masterclasses. HAU es la primera editorial de antropología internacional de libre acceso e incluye instituciones como el CNRS (Centre d’Etudes Hymalayennes, FR), el Museo Noruego de Historia Cultural (NO), y departamentos de antropología en Manchester (UK), Sydney (AU), Canterbury(NZ), Edinburgo (UK), Oslo (NO), Helsinki (FI), Bergen (NO), Amsterdam (NL), Aarhus (DK), Chicago (US), Johns Hopkins (US), y Cornell (US).
El Programa de Antropología UC participará en el desarrollo de la revista académica a través del comité editorial que integra la red. Asimismo, organizará seminarios y encuentros entre las instituciones que integran HAU. En palabras del comité editorial de HAU, “El Programa de Antropología de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile ha sido parte de HAU publicando artículos en la revista. Ha probado ser un grupo de antropólogos nuevos, posicionándose en el primer plano de los debates contemporáneos de la antropología latinoamericana, demostrando además una gran tradición de experiencia etnográfica”.
The Program Antropologia UC has recently been incorporated to HAU Network of Ethnographic Theory (http://haujournal.org/). HAU-Net is a network composed of anthropology departments and research institutions that contributes to and supports the HAU Society for Ethnographic Theory—the first international, peer-reviewed, open access, and copyleft publishing press in anthropology. This network includes the CNRS (Centre d’Etudes Hymalayennes, Paris, France), the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History (NO), and the departments of anthropology at Manchester (UK), Sydney (AU), Canterbury(NZ), Edinburgh (UK), Oslo (NO), Helsinki (FI), Bergen (NO), Amsterdam (NL), Aarhus (DK), Chicago (US), Johns Hopkins (US), and Cornell (US).
Antropologia UC will participate in the development of the journal through their editorial advice, their suggestions for reprints and translations, their hosting and organizing of workshops. Moreover, visiting fellowships between member institutions are planned.
HAU’s editorial board has supported the incorporation of the Program Antropologia UC to HAU-Net: “The Anthropology Program at the Pontificia Universidad Católica is already aware and involved with HAU through the publication of some of its members’ articles in the journal. It has proven to be a new, thriving anthropology group, placed at the forefront of current anthropological debates in Latin America, and rooted in the august tradition of ethnographic training”.
